JV Defeats Unatego 32-14!!

Posted Sunday, October 14, 2007 by RR

The JV team traveled to Unatego Saturday morning for a rather cool meeting with the Spartans. Unatego took the opening kick off and started first on offense. On the first play from scrimmage, Cain Wlasiuk jarred the ball loose and Evan Boyd picked up the fumble and returned it to the Spartan's 7 yd. line. Danny Gehl scored on the next play running it in on a bootleg. On the next possession, Evan Boyd broke loose on a well blocked 32, going 63 yards to paydirt. In the 2nd qtr., Kyle Baxley scored from 30 yds. out on a nice 21 rt. During the 3rd qtr., Dan Gehl, Eddie Dickson, Evan Boyd and Kyle Baxley faked soo well on a Delhi Motion reverse, that the officials blew the play dead, thinking Boyd had the ball. Meanwhile, Tight End Steve Kaminsky was heading down the sideline towards the endzone. The play was called back, much to the dismay of the Walton fans. Eddie Dickson finished off the scoring with two TDs in the final qtrs. Eddie busted free on a beautifully blocked 74 rt. Cain Wlasiuk took out two wouldbe tacklers while leading the way for Dickson. The warriors defense played well all game. It was lead by six freshman on the front line. Cain Wlasuik did a great job playing his first game at linebacker. The warriors play away next Sat. morning against Unadilla Valley.
