The Walton JV traveled to New Berlin Saturday morning to take on the "Storm." The Warriors struck early in the first qtr. with two TDs. One on a nice run by Kyle Baxley and the other on a pass from Dan Gehl to Steve Kaminsky. The storm defense then dug in and made things tough. The rest of the first qtr. and most of the 2nd, remained scoreless. Although on the final play of the first half, Dan Gehl hit Eddie Dickson on a 25 playpass for a TD, which covered 49 yards. The warriors led at the half 22-0. In the 2nd half, the "Storm" began to die down. The warriors scored 28 unanswered points. Phil Gladstone made a diving catch for TD #4, the 5th was scored by Dickson. The second offense played very well. They scored the final two TD's of the game. Both scores were made by freshman, Devin Ryan, on 22's. The Walton defense played very well, mirroring the achievements of the varsity. There were many forced fumbles and hard hits. Freshman, Derrick Mullineaux also made his first JV start at offensive tackle. The JV takes on Hancock for their final game, this Thursday at home. The game starts at 4:15.
