JV Beats AA-Ithaca 22-8.

Posted Sunday, October 28, 2007 by RR

The warriors JV team ended their season Saturday morning with a huge win over the largest school in section 4, Ithaca. The game took place at Hoover field, in terrible field conditions, due to rain. Both teams started out slow and traded punts. The warriors then found success by pounding the ball up the middle. The crush offensive line played the game of the year. Center Pat Smith, guards Cain Wlasiuk and Travis Rathmell, tackles Korey Bowker and Derreck Cetta and ends Steve Kaminsky, Dan Bowker and Phil Gladstone all did an unbelieveable job. They were able to cross-block and trap the large Ithaca line throughout the game. Eddie Dickson, Evan Boyd and Kyle Baxley all ran tough in sloppy conditions. Dickson scored all three touchdowns, two on 21's and one on a 22 power. Extra points were scored by Steve Kaminsky and Dickson. The warriors end their season with an 8-1 record, their only loss coming during the second game against a very tough Greene team. Greene ended their season undefeated. Good luck to the JV players who are moving up to the varsity.
